| Slikk..I'm anticipating Gulf releasing the F-16XL, and I'd love to be able to atleast open the atk files so I can toy with it for my own personal use, so all I'm asking is which program did you use to edit these files? Also one more thing, how does one go about adding and deleting planes from the All Out War section of USAF? Thanks again for the wonderful addon.

1: AME Tool
2: Changing aircraft for the All Out War missions is very tricky. Changing the aircraft itself is not the hard part... Its the loadouts... If you have a text editor... In the All Out War mission file you can simply type in the name of the plane you want to use. Further down in the file you will see the loadout for the plane. You have to make sure that the loadout is accurate or the All Out War mission will crash. Next... everyone that fly's with you will have to have the same All Out War mission or it will not work... You will all CTD. And last you will have to have two computers with USAF loaded to test this to make sure it works before sending any new All Out War missions to anyone. It's a lot of work but it can be done.
Good Luck!

I need way more info than that. What exactly do you want to change about the aircraft?

Ok Slikk, my bad, my bad. On each of the All Out War missions, or scenes rather, I'd like to be able to add aircraft to the AOW missions, like the F-16E the F-15 C and E, the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds planes, and maybe just maybe get rid of those derned Sparrow Missiles . I wouldn't even know where to begin to do these things, and I've searched for that AME tool to no avail unfortunately.

1: First off... If you are a beginner at modding this sim you should take it one step at a time. This is a very big and complex sim so the best thing to do is grab a section of the game and learn it one section at a time. IMHO jumping right into AOW, QME, or Multi Player missions is the wrong way to go, as these types of missions are much more complex than regular UME missions.
You cannot add any plane you like to the AOW missions because the game looks to the first plane of the type you are trying to add.
Example: if you want to add a new F-16C to AOW missions you will only be able the very first F-16C in the DME The game will overlook all other F-16C's in the DME. In other words it will only use the first F-16C the same is true for all other aircraft.
Editing AOW missions is very complicated because not only will you have to edit several sections of the DME but you will have to edit several sections of the AOW mission itself.
The aircraft in AOW can be changed at this point of the AOW mission.
Also planes you replace here will have to have the exact same name as in the DME if you are off by one letter or number you will CTD.

2: Changing the AOW weapons loadouts is not as hard as adding new planes to AOW. Here is how you do it.
1: use a text editor to open an AOW mission
2: Aircraft loadouts can be changed at this point if the mission.

These are the weapons that show up in the AOW missions. Use must use the exact same name as in the DME or you will CTD.
This is about the best I can explain in short... To explain step by step would take to much time. I hope this helps you get started though. Good luck.
