I haven't played the original version in some time. Have to see if I can get it working. Its the reason for all the new versions, so it would be great to fly it again. Will keep you posted.

Thanks, If you can't find the original. How would I upload the no CD version? I have about 100 missions for the original version. I usally like to work as a team on some of the missions.

Hello Major Danger.

Welcome to the Gulf Knight's Air Base forum, nice to have you on board. 8-)

Went you say (no CD version) do you mean the game itself? I'm asking because uploading the game would break the copyright law, and I don't think you would want to that would you. :)

Having said hear is a free file hosting site, where you could host the missions. :)

Hello Major Danger and welcome at the home of USAF. I´m a bit supprised that there is one who wants to fly the original version of the game. Have you tried PLATINUM? I'm sure if you have flown it you will never turn back to the original version. PLATINUM is a stand allone version. You don't need a CD anymore. What you need is the PLATINUM version V2.01 and the patch V2.02., nothing more. All is included to play the game under W98 and XP. If you don't have the terrain files you have to download them also. To get an impression what PLATINUM is have a look at the User Guide by clicking the link above.

Well Thank both of you for the input. No FC CC would not want a law suit, but I can send the no cd crack, it just saves the original disk from over abuse. Cowar can you fly SP or platinum online via IP or at a site? I still love to fly all the original missions and the modded ones with human wingmen. There are some missions I have never finished, needed human help. I'll check out both sites gentlemen. Thank you.

Cowar when you speak of terrain files, do you mean the original terrain files from USAF 1.02F?

When will the download directory be transfered to this new site? Also can I download files from the old site?
Thanks.

Hello Major Danger,
About the Terrain files: There is only one version of Terrain files, that means every Terrain folder from every version will work. So if you have somewhere an installation of USAF you can use this Terrain files.
About the online gaming: We are using skype for communications and Hamachi V1.0.11 to connect. I never tried to connect via IP, but I think this should work also, but Hamachi is not a kind of connection like Hyper Lobby or similar ones. It is a peer to peer connection. We have a USAF test net at Hamachi. If you setup skype and send me your datas, we can talk online and can do all of the needed installations online.
About the law: The game is more than 10 years old and it is not supported by the distributers anymore since years.
About the Download: What you need to install PLATINUM are the PLATINUM files 1,2,3 and the Patch V2.02. To download the PLATINUM main files a download pass is needed. The patch is free downloadable.
