A too fast computer

Postby Swebuilt » Sun Mar 28, 2010 8:21 pm

Has anyone beside myself experienced problems when playing Mini Pro Platium on a new computer? I' am talking about double(at least)layer lines, artifacts, double layer text(text on text on text).

I ve tried MPP with three different computers, its the one with newest components thats been giving me some hard times.

The point is; I came around the problem by using a slower profile(power save)on my MB, for those whom do not have this possibility, I recommend underclocking due this seems to be a cpu issue.

Hello Russianbuild,
I think the graphics card or it settings could be the reason for the problems. Which card do you use and which driver version?

Hello Russianbuild,
if I remember right, Davide Cestelli is using an ATI card similar to yours. Please PM him to get some informations about the driver version and the settings he is running.

About the max. possible resolution: If you select the "EXTRA (Requires PIII)" option you get the max. resolution supported by your system. In the past I made the experince that the display driver for the monitor plays an important role for the max. possible resolution. As I changed the monitor to the currently one, a 22" TFT, I installed only the new display driver for the monitor in addition and I was able to use 1680 x 1050 x 32. If you have a look at the cards interface, you can see which resolutions are supported by your card - monitor combination.

Hello Russianbuild,

In my WinXP partition i use driver version 191.07.
I use the default settings for the nvidia control panel and i have no graphic issues (except some problem with only some cockpit).
I'm also able to use a 1920x1200 for resolution. But this point (as told by Cowar) dipends by the combination of video card (type and manufacturer), driver version and monitor model (thing that is always different user by user so that the result may be different user by user).

My suggestion is to try to use the driver version that i'm using to see how it work.

Let us know
Davide
